Is Studio Ghibli developing a Star Wars project with Lucasfilm?

The renowned Japanese animation studio behind such classic as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Princess Mononoke shared the following Tweet, which certainly suggests that something set in the Galaxy Far, Far Away is in the works.

Of course, Lucasfilm doesn't only focus on Star Wars-related content (there's also Indiana Jones, Willow, etc), but we'd be very surprised if this mysterious project - be it for the big or small screen - turns out to be anything else.

Studio Ghibli was formed in 1985, and has gone on to become well-regarded studios in the world. Five of its films are among Japan's ten highest-grossing anime features, some of which have also received Academy Award nominations

This wouldn't be the first time Star Wars and Anime have crossed paths, of course, and there is already speculation that Ghibli might be involved in a second season of the recent Disney+ anthology series Star Wars Visions. That's certainly one possibility, but we're holding out hope for a feature!

We should find out more soon, but for now, be sure to share your theories with us in the comments section below.
