With Pokémon having been such a massive phenomenon over the past several decades, it comes as no surprise that fans are still following the anime adventures of Ash and Pikachu. However, with eight generations of pocket monsters, goodbyes are inevitably fairly consistent in the series.

Like any other Pokémon trainer, Ash is only able to keep six creatures on him at any given time. Although Professor Oak is happy to welcome transfers, time has shown that the main character prefers to release his captures in the wild to continue their own adventures.

It looks as though quite a few familiar faces are making a return, however short-lived it may turn out to be. The newest trailer for Pokémon Journeys: The Series sees Ash and Pikachu reunite with several old friends and teammates.

Some of the old companions visiting Ash include Charizard, Snorlax, Totodile, Hawlucha, Krokorok, Heracross, Talonflame, Donphan, Buizel, Corphish, and more. Take a look at the trailer for yourself in the official tweet update below!

What do you guys think? Would you have preferred a visit from someone else? Bulbasaur, Wartorle, Primeape, Haunter, Pidgeot, Butterfree, and countless more are out there and could also make an appearance.

Pokémon fans will certainly dig our pocket monster-centric interview with RealBlaines below!
