Already a fan of the manga Kashimashi Meshi? Well, we have some exciting news for you! Shodensha's Feel Young magazine made the announcement on Wednesday that Mari Okazaki's Kashimashi Meshi manga will be adapted into a real-life television series. The March issue of the magazine was published in this year.

The manga is based off of a sad event bringing together three close friends. Every one of them is in the middle of a challenging situation, between relationships that are either over or confusing. The story focuses on how you may always discover new light and hope if you get together with people you love to eat rice together, even if it is difficult and it seems to you that your heart is about to dry up, things can turn out okay. The importance of friends being there for each other as emotional support during relationships that may not last. Cheesy, but sweet!

In February of 2016, Okazaki debuted the manga in the magazine Feel Young. In June of 2022, Shodensha released the fifth compilation book volume of the manga series.

The magazine describes the manga as:

It's okay to use a lot of ingredients. Hold off on eating the food with your fingers. Crunch. Chew. Nibble. Swallow. Who could frown when faced with such delicious food and sake?

Suppli, Okazaki's workplace romance story, was published in Shodensha's Feel Young magazine from 2003 until 2009, and is mostly responsible for her widespread recognition. The series was distributed by Tokyopop in five separate volumes. In 2006, a live-action adaptation of the manga was adapted into a television series in Japan.

Will I Be Single Forever? (Zutto Dokushin de Iru Tsumori?) was first published in November 2014 by Okazaki in the Feel Young manga magazine, and the final chapter was published in October 2015. The basis of the manga is derived upon an article written by Mami Amamiya and published under the same name. Shodensha released one collected book volume for the manga series. In 2018, the manga was made available by Viz Media. The live-action adaptation of the manga was released in theaters in Japan in the month of November 2021.

In May 2014, Okazaki debuted the A-Un manga in the Monthly Big Comic Spirits, and he brought the series to a close in May 2021.

We're excited to see how the real-life adaptation turns out! Let us know if you will be watching it in the comments below!
