The MIX anime is returning to adapt more of Mitsuru Adachi's baseball manga when the second season of MIX premieres on April 1!
The latest update is here with a new key visual and theme song info. The new season's opening theme song will be sumika with "Starting Over," and the ending theme will be miwa with "Harunoto."
Not familiar with the series, or need a recap? Here's a little refresher for you!
The second season will take place the summer after the first year of high school, four years after the first season's premiere. Yet, given the trailer is only 15 seconds long and contains no spoilers, it's difficult to predict what the storyline of the second season will follow! Mix: The sports anime Meisei Story follows two stepbrothers as they play baseball for their high school team and emulate their father. The talented duo of Tma and Sichir raises the prospect of Meisei HS returning to the Kshien. A tragic legacy is left behind 30 years after Meisei High's one and only appearance at the High School Baseball Championship, making the story not always the cheeriest.

The first season of MIX aired from April 6, 2019, to September 28, 2019, from director Toshinori Watanabe at OLM, with Funimation streaming it as it aired. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series, describing it as such:
A new generation steps up to the plate in a moving sequel to the 1985 baseball manga, Touch. Stepbrothers Touma and Suichirou are ace players on Meisei High School’s baseball team, and thanks to them, the team may finally have a chance at returning to nationals. But little by little, a tragic legacy unfolds as the stepbrothers follow in their fathers’ footsteps
The anime series is based on the Mitsuru Adachi manga that he wrote and illustrated. As a follow-up to Adachi's Touch from the 1980s, the manga started publishing in May 2012 in Shogakukan's shnen manga magazine Monthly Shnen Sunday. The chapters of Touch, which lasted from 1981 to 1986, were compiled into 26 tankbon volumes. As of July 2022, the chapters of the Mix manga had been compiled into 19 tank-bon volumes.

Crunchyroll currently offers the option to stream both the subtitled and dubbed versions of all twenty-four episodes that make up the first season of the anime. Although though there has been no formal announcement made regarding the streaming platform on which the second season will be available, it is highly likely that it will be available on Crunchyroll.
