While this past year has been a bit of a struggle to release new content due to the constant shadow of COVID-19 looming over the world, announcements for future projects have been more than abundant. This October has seen many announcements tailored to the Halloween season, as well.
In 2018, a manga series titled Shadows House was released in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump and tells the story of a bond between a young shadow person and the "living doll' that she serves. Somato created the series, and since its release, it has had a great following thanks to its tone of gothic horror.
Recently, it was announced that the series would finally be adapted into an anime series! While there is still not much information given, there is a possibility that a teaser visual could be coming sooner rather than later!
There is still a lot left to unearth but until then, make sure to stay tuned for more information! We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Shadows House is set in a mysterious, Western-style mansion populated by a clan of "Shadows" who imitate the trappings of human aristocracy. The Shadows have no faces of their own, so they are attended by "living dolls" who act as their caretakers. The story follows Emilyko, a living doll, and Kate Shadow, the Shadow whom Emilyko serves.
The Shadows House anime is coming soon!
