This is not an April Fool's joke! This August, KADOKAWA's light novel label Dengeki Bunko will publish an official spin-off book titled Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Flame Sword Princess! The Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime franchise and Dengeki Bunko, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, have joined forces for the upcoming collaborative project.
Fans may recall that on April 1, 2022, a live-action film version of the novel starring Setsuna Yuki was announced as a hoax for April Fools' Day. You can see the Twitter announcement hoax down below!
In the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime, there is a fictional light novel series called Flame Sword Princess that is featured. It made its debut in the ninth episode of the first season of the anime, when Setsuna Yuki appeared on screen with the book in her grasp for the first time. The television show has garnered such a large following that the decision was made to convert it into an anime. The thirteenth episode of the second season shows the moment when the very first episode of the Flame Sword Princess anime was really shown.
