YOUTH STORY OF A FAMILY: Character, Theme Song, And More Details Revealed

With the premiere for the upcoming TV anime Youth Story of a Family just a little less than a month out, new character details have been revealed!

Additional cast members for the TV anime Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai, also known as Youth Story of a Family, were announced via the official website and social media for the project. This news came alongside the announcement of the October 5 launch date in Japan. In addition, there will be a preview event held in Tokyo at the beginning of this month.

Here's what we know about the Youth Story of a Family (Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai) TV anime storyline so far:

The story revolves around the four brothers of the Yuzuki family, who lost their parents two years ago. The eldest son, Hayato, is the only adult in the family; the second son, Mikoto, is in junior high school; the third son, Minato, is also in junior high school; and the fourth son, Gakuto, is in first grade. However, Minato has complicated feelings toward Mikoto, who is in the same year in school as him because they were born 12 months apart, although they are not twins, and toward Hayato, who relies on Mikoto more than himself...

The popular director Yuzuki-san Chi no Yori Kyodai will be working with the studio Shuka, Mitsuru Hongo (Ascendance of a Bookworm), and will also be serving as the primary animation director for the series. Yoshikazu Suou will be composing the score, and Orie Tanaka (Natsume's Book of Friends key animator) will be over designing the characters for the anime. The first episode of the series will officially air on October 5 and 6 depending on where you are located.

  • Waka Kirishima voiced by Akari Tadano
  • Uta Kirishima voiced by Misato Matsuoka

Another last minuted detail that we found fun, was learning the song "Naiteiinda" will be performed by flumpool as the opening theme song for Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai, and "Sasakure" will be performed by Aoi Kubo as the ending theme song. We're excited to see it be part of the series!
