B - THE BEGINNING: ULTIMATE COLLECTION REVIEW Join Us For An In-Depth Look At The Massive Collector's Edition

With the Ultimate Collection of the hit anime B: The Beginning finally released, I had the opportunity to check out the box set! Hit the jump to see how it compares to the standard edition!

Reviews Opinion

With the holidays on the way (well, technically less than ten days away), many may be struggling to find that perfect gift for their loved one. Thankfully, if that loved one is an anime fan, the search may have just gotten a whole lot easier! This past October saw the home video release of the Netflix anime B: The Beginning, a supernatural crime drama that skyrocketed in popularity upon release.

While we have covered a review of the series on the site before, I was recently able to review the Ultimate Collection of the series, and it is safe to say that it contains even more content than the Standard Edition. While the standard edition comes with its own share of goodies (two art cards and a mini-poster), the Ultimate Collection earns its price tag by containing some of the most informative items that will make any fan of the series clamoring for more.

B: The Beginning Ultimate Collection features the same items as the Standard Edition, but it also features more behind the scene features. This includes the case itself, which is a 160-page hardback art book! The contents feature stellar artwork and some amazing behind-the-scenes elements of the characters, story, and location (that only scratches the surface)! The collection also features three art cards and a 21 track Original Soundtrack that contains the unreleased song, "Farewell To The Black-Winged King."

The Ultimate Collection contains some of the best special features available for people who love the show, and because of that, it is, without a doubt, a must-have for fans. So, if you're looking for an amazing addition to your loved one's anime collection, check out B: The Beginning Ultimate Collection and tell us what you think of it in the usual spot!

The tiny city-state of Cremona has been shocked by a string of gruesome murders. As only vicious killers are being targeted, and from an enigmatic mark left at each crime scene, people call this mysterious executioner, "Killer B." When former detective Keith Kazama Flick is called back on duty after an eight-year-long hiatus, a new team assembles at the Royal Investigation Service with the purpose of putting an end to the bloodshed. But Flick appears burdened by too many ghosts from his past. And as a much greater and ominous scheme starts emerging, he will need to come to terms with them all.
