The beauty of anime is that not every show has to be an endless battle or drama. Sometimes it's nice to watch a show where the viewer can just kick back, relax, and enjoy the stories that the show has to offer, and that's where the series, Bartender, comes into play.
Created as a manga by writer Araki Joh and illustrated by Kenji Nagatomo, the series tells the story of a bartender known for how he can make the perfect drink for anyone's needs. The anthology series has followed him as a new person passes through and shares their story.
An anime was later released for the series and now, with the help of Shout! Factory, its 15th anniversary will be celebrated properly with a special collector's edition! The series's box set will contain four collectible coasters, nine cocktail cards, and of course, the show itself. The collection will also feature a creditless ending and opening and bumpers as special features!
There is a lot left to discover, but the new collector's edition is a must-have for any fan of anthologies. We would love to hear your thoughts on the show and the new trailer in the comments below!
Situated in the Ginza district of Tokyo is the Eden Hall, a quiet bar that few people manage to come across. It is run by the legendary bartender Ryu Sasakura, a genius at mixing the right drink for the right customer. Throughout his period at Eden Hall, customers from all walks of life, carrying all sorts of burdens, arrive for a godly glass at the Hall and a kind word with Ryu, both of which assist in clearing their problems up and reviving them for another go at life.
Bartender: 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition will be available physically and digitally on January 19th, 2021!
