The sport of archery has been around almost as long as man has, being used as a weapon of war before the introduction of firearms, the bow and arrow have nestled calmly into the world of sports. One of the main reasons that it has never gone out of style is due to the fact that pop culture has played such a huge role in keeping it alive, especially with characters like Green Arrow and Hawkeye.
Japanese animation studio Kyoto Animation has a franchise of their own that focuses exclusively on Archery titled Tsurune. The anime was initially released in 2018 and ran until the following year, and no word on any new content has been confirmed since. That being said, it looks like that silence is about to be broken!
During a live stream of the 2nd-anniversary premiere of the hit anime, a new trailer was shown that confirmed a brand new anime film is in development from the studio! Focusing on friendship and the troubles that come from living with a disability, the new film is sure to be a hit for fans.

When Narumiya Minato joins Prefectural Kazemai High School, he is quickly invited to join the archery club by the club's advisor, Tommy-sensei. His childhood friends Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryohei swiftly agree to join, but Minato is hesitant at first. Because Minato is the rare student with experience in archery, Tommy-sensei orders him to give a demonstration, which Minato does... except his arrow doesn't hit the target. It is revealed that Minato has developed a terrible dysfunction regarding archery.
