After being absent for almost a decade, Black Rock Shooter is set to return with the spring 2022 premiere of its new anime series Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall. A new key art visual was released in celebration of the recent news as well, so make sure and check it out below!
The new anime series is being directed by Motoki Tanaka (Azur Lane) at Bilbury Animation Studios. Scripts are being written by Makoto Fukami and Masayuki Nonaka and Yō Nakagawa are handling character design.
The Dawn Fall anime series is set to follow the events from the 2010 OVA and 2012 TV series, which were directed by Shinobu Yoshioka and produced by studio Ordet.
Black Rock Shooter is a japanese media franchise based on characters created by illustrator Ryohei Fuke (A.K.A. "Huke"). Its main protagonist being a mysterious black haired girl with a blazing blue eye. The media franchise includes an anime television series, several manga series, and even a video game. The franchise gained in popularity thanks to the song of the same name by Supercell featuring Hatsune Miku.
