Chainsaw Man is set to hit Crunchyroll's streaming service next month and the English dub cast has just been revealed along with two brand-new trailers, soundtrack details, and more!

Chainsaw Man, the highly anticipated anime series from MAPPA, the studio that brought you Attack on Titan Final Season, JUJUTSU KAISEN, takt op.Destiny, and the upcoming Hell's Paradise is set to launch October 11th on Crunchyroll's streaming service. They're celebrating the upcoming launch today by releasing new trailers and details, including the unveiling of the English dub cast for the upcoming anime series.

ADR direction for Chainsaw Man's English dub was handled by Mike McFarland (Attack on Titan; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), and the cast of the English dub includes:

  • Ryan Colt Levy (My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission) – English voice of Denji
  • Suzie Yeung (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) – English voice of Makima
  • Reagan Murdock (Dragon Ball Super) – English voice of Aki
  • Sarah Wiedenheft (Black Clover; Dr. STONE; Dragon Ball Super) – English voice of Power

On Friday, October 7th, the English dubbed version of Chainsaw Man will have its world premiere at the New York Comic Con. The English SimulDub™ will start airing on Crunchyroll at a later date.  Casts for the following additional dubs will be announced at a later time: Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German.

In addition, MAPPA made the announcement today that new Japanese voice actors will be joining the cast in order to bring the characters of Pochita, Himeno, Kobeni Higashiyama, Hirokazu Arai, and Kishibe to life. The following is an updated list of Japanese voice actors:

  • Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as Power
  • Mariya Ise (Reg in Made in Abyss) as Himeno
  • Karin Takahashi (Suika in Dr. STONE)as Kobeni Higashiyama
  • Taku Yashiro (Tanuma Tsubasa in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Hirokazu Arai
  • Kenjiro Tsuda (Kento Nanami in JUJUTSU KAISEN) as Kishibe

Along with the release of a new trailer that showcases additional members of the cast that has already been mentioned, MAPPA has also revealed the brand-new track listing for Chainsaw Man. The show, which will have a unique closing theme for each episode, will feature the following songs in its soundtrack.

The story of Chainsaw Man centers Denji, young man who shares his home with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. As a result of the debt that his father left behind, he has been forced to lead a miserable existence while he works to repay the debt by harvesting the bodies of devils alongside Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. He makes a deal with Pochita as his consciousness begins to fade, and as a result, he is resurrected as "Chainsaw Man," a man who has the heart of the devil.


About Chainsaw Man:

Chainsaw Man is an adaptation of the manga of the same name that was written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto (Fire Punch; Look Back; Goodbye, Eri) and published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Ry Nakayama (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia; The Rising of the Shield Hero) is the director of the film, which is based on Fujimoto's manga. Fujimoto has won multiple awards for his work.

In addition, the screenplay for Chainsaw Man was written by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season; Mob Psycho 100; Banana Fish), the character designs were created by Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), the devil design was created by Kiyotaka Oshiyama (The Wind Rises; The Secret World of Arrietty; Space Dandy), the art direction was created by Yusuke Taked (The Heike Story; Devilman: Crybaby; Space Dandy).

The animation is produced by MAPPA (Maruyama Animation Produce Project Association), which is a prestigious Japanese animation studio known for the Attack on Titan Final Season, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Yuri!!! on Ice, takt op.Destiny, and the upcoming Hell's Paradise. Animation is produced by Maruyama Animation Produce Project Association.

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 has become one of the top five highest-grossing anime movies in the United States, one of the top 10 highest-grossing anime movies in the world, and one of the top 20 highest-grossing movies in Japan. It was released by MAPPA, which is also responsible for the release of the global box office sensation MAPPA.
