Back in August we reported that the third and final film in the Eureka: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution trilogy would premiere in Japan on November 26 of this year. We're excited to follow that up with news that the film will be coming to theaters in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand! While an exact release date has yet to be revealed, Funimation has announced that the film will hit theaters in the countries noted above sometime in 2022.
The film will land in Japan next month. Eureka: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution takes place ten years after the previous movie and is set to close the events set in motion during the first two films of th trilogy (Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution 1 and Anemone: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution).
Eureka: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution voice cast includes Kaori Nazuka (Code Geass) as Eureka, and Rina Endo (Barakamon) as Iris. You can see both charcters in the poster below that was released for the film back in August. The film is directed by Tomoki Kyuda and was animated at studio BONES.
The Eureka Seven anime series was created by Bones in 2005. It was directed by Tomoki Kyoda and included 50 episodes. It has spawned six manga adaptations, a light novel, three video games, and now three feature films. It has been well received by critics and anime fans alike, earning several awards including the 2006 Tokyo International Anime Fair.
All of the Eureka Seven anime episodes are currently available in both English subtitled and English dubbed via Funimation's official streaming app and service.
