The popular anime series, The Irregular at Magic High School, is set to release its third season in April 2024. The latest trailer for the upcoming season has revealed casting details, and the arcs that will be adapted. They have also released a new poster!The opening theme song of the third season, titled "Shouted Serenade," can also be heard in the trailer.
The third season of The Irregular at Magic High School will cover three different arcs from the popular light novel series: the Double Seven arc, the Steeplechase arc, and the Ancient City Insurrection arc.
The third season will also include new cast members. Minoru Kudou, voiced by Kikunosuke Toya (Denji in Chainsaw Man), Takuma Shippou, voiced by Tatsumaru Tachibana (Jin Mori in The God of High School), and Retsu Kudou, voiced by Hochu Otsuka (Jiraiya in Naruto), are some of the new cast members.
Hochu Otsuka is replacing the late Motomu Kiyokawa, who voiced Retsu Kudou in the first season and passed away in August 2022.
The animation director for the upcoming season is Jimmy Stone, who has previously worked on the anime in various capacities. Taku Iwasaki is confirmed to be doing the music score. 8-bit will continue handling the animation.

The Irregular at Magic High School is a popular anime series that originated as a Japanese web novel series by Tsutomu Satō.
The story is set in the 2090s and takes place in a world where technology has enabled magic to become a reality. It follows the lives of siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba as they attend the First High magic high school.
Tatsuya is shunned by his peers due to his apparent lack of magical ability, while Miyuki is recognized for her talents. The siblings try to keep their connection to the infamous Yotsuba clan a secret, which adds to the complications of their school life.
The anime adaptation of the series was produced by Madhouse and aired from April to September 2014, consisting of 26 episodes. The series falls under the genres of action, fantasy, romance, and sci-fi, with a theme centered around school life.
The light novel on which the anime is based was created by Tsutomu Sato. Each story arc of the series received a manga adaptation by different manga artists and publishers in 2013.
The franchise has been localized in English by two companies: the light novels and one of the manga adaptations by Yen Press, and the anime series by Aniplex of America. The anime was simulcast on four networks and later made available on Netflix.
An anime film featuring an original story by Satō premiered in Japan in June 2017, and a second season aired from October to December 2020.
