Crunchyroll has announced that the next batch of English-dubbed One Piece episodes will arrive on the streaming service next month.

The English dub of One Piece Season 14 Voyage 15, which encompasses episodes 1062 to 1073, will debut on Crunchyroll on May 4th.

If you're a fan of the anime who has been following along with the dubbed episodes as they release, you should be particularly excited about this next batch. That's because Episode 1071 features perhaps one of the biggest moments in One Piece history: the debut of Luffy's Gear Five transformation.

Back in February, IGN gave fans our first sneak peek at the dubbed version of the highly anticipated fight between Luffy Gear Five and Kaido. Check it out below!

On the upcoming Luffy Gear Five debut, Crunchyroll writes: "Bouncing on the ground and becoming a giant, Luffy enjoys his new, bizarre power while Kaido is bewildered and can't make sense of it. Meanwhile, Kid, Law, and Luffy's other allies continue the fight down below against flames and enemies alike, waiting for Luffy to emerge victorious."

The new episodes will be released on May 5 in English in the United States, Canada, LATAM, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia.

The release of this new wave of episodes coincides with Luffy's birthday. Crunchyroll promises more exciting announcements regarding the big day.

In addition to the new batch of episodes, Crunchyroll is planning to release a number of English-dubbed TV specials. Beginning on May 7th in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, fans will be able to enjoy the following One Piece specials:

  • One Piece TVSP – 3D2Y
  • One Piece TVSP – Episode of Sabo
  • One Piece TVSP – Adventure of Nebulandia
  • One Piece TVSP – Heart of Gold
  • One Piece TVSP – Episode of East Blue
  • One Piece TVSP – Episode of Skypiea

The English-dubbed episodes of One Piece are releasing at a rather speedy pace, and have almost caught up with where the Japanese broadcast is (Episode 1102).

Looking to catch up with the popular anime series? Crunchyroll is already home to the One Piece series with new English-subtitled episodes releasing every week. If you're new to the series, it follows Monkey D. Luffy on his quest to the Grand Line and beyond claim the Legendary One Piece and become the king of the pirates.

Monkey. D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who'll never give up until he's claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece!

On a related note, the One Piece manga is finally set to return after a three-week hiatus that began in March. Following the death of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda announced some "scheduled maintenance" to take care of his own health.

If you're looking for even more One Piece, Netflix is currently home to a live-action adaptation that has receiving glowing reviews for its first season.
