FUNimation To Release ONE PIECE FILM: GOLD In North America

FUNimation has announced that the company has secured North American distribution rights for One Piece Film: Gold and will release the film in theaters for a limited engagement run.

 After being released in Japanese theaters on July 23, 2016, One Piece Film: Gold will hit select North American theaters for a limited engagement run from January 10-17.  The film was directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto from a script written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa. Manga creator Eiichiro Oda served as the film's executive producer.

To date, the film has earned 5,007,520,000 yen or about US$48.8 million at the Japanese box office.

For the North American release, FUNimation will show an English-dub version in theaters.
