PROMARE Is Making Its Way Back To Theaters This Week

GKIDS and Fathom Events have partnered up to bring the hyperkinetic Promare anime film back to U.S. movie theaters beginning later this week!

GKIDS and Fathom Events have announced that Promare, the hyperkinetic and candy-colored anime film, is blazing back into U.S. movie theaters later this week for two nights only, along with the two prequel shorts Side: Galo and Side: Lio.

Promare is the first feature film from fan favorite studio TRIGGER, the studio behind KILL la KILLLittle Witch Academia, as well as the upcoming short Gurren Lagann that will be featured in the upcoming Star Wars: Visions anime anthology. The film also features an incredible score fom Attack on Titan's Hiroyuki Sawano.

Promare will be shown in both original Japanese and English dubbed versions. There will be select screenings in 4DX.The English dub and 4DX screenings will happen on September 16th at 7:00 pm and the original Japanese version of the film (with English subtitles) will screen Sunday, September 19th at 3:00 pm.

Thirty years has passed since the appearance of the Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves Mad Burnish appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team Burning Rescue, and Lio Fotia, the leader of Mad Burnish begins.
