One Peace Books announced on their official Twitter page that they have released Aneko Yusagi's Rising Of The Shield Hero's light novel series in an Audiobook format earlier this month! The audio books are being narrated by Kurt Kanazawa! Check the official announcement tweet down below:
The audiobook is currently available on Audiobooks.com and will soon be available on services such as Amazon, Apple Books, Audible, NOOK Audibooks, and Spotify. One Peace Books began publishing the light novel in English in September 2015, and shipped the 20th volume of the novel on June 22nd.
They describe the first volume of the novel as:
Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world!
As many fans may know, the series also has an anime show. The second season to the anime series will be debuting in October later this year under the title of Rising Of The Shield Hero 2! There has also been a 3rd season announced for the anime as well!
