The Crunchyroll 2022 Summer Series will stream the new sequel Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac - Battle for Sanctuary series for its second season.
The latest Saint Seiya series will be continued in a brand new season that will be titled Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac - Battle for Sanctuary! This announcement was made today by Crunchyroll and Toei Animation. Later on in the Summer, Crunchyroll users all over the world, with the exception of those in Asia, will be able to watch the new series simultaneously.

Knights of the Zodiac is the name given to the group of young warriors who serve to guard the goddess Athena. Seiya, a young orphan, has been chosen to fulfill his destiny and become the Pegasus Knight. Athena has been reborn into this world, but this time under a gloomy prophecy that foretells she will fail to defeat Poseidon and Hades in battle and will bring about the destruction of mankind. Seiya defies the prophecy and vows to protect her at any cost, even if it means sacrificing herself. But now the heart of the god-killer has been struck by an arrow. In order for Seiya to save his girlfriend's life, he needs to ascend Sanctuary and vanquish twelve legendary Gold Knights within the time limit of twelve hours. Will he make it?
