Back in August we reported that Shirobako the Movie would be making its way to home video this month, but now it appears that fans of the fan-favorite anime series *about* making anime will have to wait a little longer as Eleven Arts and Shout! Factory has announced a new street date for the film.
According to the press release, Shirobako the Movie will now be reelased on digital download and Blu-ray + DVD combo pack December 7th, 2021, following the film's North American theatrical release from the summer.
The Blu-ray + DVD combo pack bonus features include a never before seen in North America teaser and trailer, After Release promotional vide, Rescreening TV commercial, and a 4-page character artwork booklet.
Shirobako the Movie is the sequel to the popular Shirobako anime series, which has also been adapted into a manga series. The film takes place four years after the events of the anime series. Musashino Animation has gone through some drastic changes and things are looking bleak for the studio. Can Aoi get the new project done in time, after taking it on with short notice?
