No official premiere date has been announced for upcoming soccer (football) anime Blue Lock, but fans of the popular sports manga will be excited to check out the first character poster and trailer for the upcoming series.
The new character trailer, entitled "Visual of Egoist", and character poster put Chigiri Hyoma in the spotlight! The trailer also gives us our first listen to Is It Wront to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? alum Soma Saito as Chigiri.
Other members of the voice cast include Kazuki Ura who will be playing Yoichi Isagi, Tasuko Kaito as Meguru Bachira, and Yuuki Ono as Rensuke Kunigami.
Written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro (As the Gods Will: The Second Series), and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura (Dolly Kill Kill), the Blue Lock manga follows Japan's soccer team after their disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup. What is the team missing? An absolute ace striker who can guide them to the win!

The anime is being directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe at studio 8bit (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) and is slated for a 2022 release.
