takt op.Destiny, the upcoming anime collaboration from popular animation studios MADHOUSE (One Punch Man, Hunter x Hunter) and MAPPA (Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen), has revealed a new poster, the new cast for the upcoming anime and even information regarding its theme song, all ahead of its October 5th premiere.
The takt op.Destiny cast includes Kouki Uchiyama (Horimiya), Shion Wakayama (SSS.DYNAZENON), Kaede Hondo (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina), Miku Itō (The Quintessential Quintuplets), Satoshi Hino (Overlord), Inori Minase (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom), Reina Ueda (Darwin’s Game), Daisuke Namikawa (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), and Eiji Hanawa (Dragon Ball Super).
Yuuki Itoh (Granblue Fantasy: The Animation) will be directing, with Kiyoko Yoshimura (Riddle Story of Devil) in charge of series composition, Yoshihiro Ike (Kuroko's Basketball) will be over music, and Reiko Nagasawa (Overlord III) will handle character design with some original designs by LAM.
The opening theme, "Takt," was written and composed by ryo (Guilty Crown) and sung by Mafumafu (Hortensia SAGA) and gaku. The end theme, "SYMPHONIA," will be performed by Mika Nakashima (DARLING in the FRANXX).
tak op.Destiny is part of a previously announced collaboration and mixed-media project by BANDAI NAMCO Arts and DeNA. There is also a mobile roleplaying game in the works and slated for a 2021 release date.
The trailer below, which was released as part of MAPPA's 10th anniversary celebration, highlights Takt Asahina, a conductor who has formed a contract with a "Musicart" girl (Destiny) and highlights classical music battles.
