In 2016, Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu launched The Promised Neverland manga in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. While the manga has only recently concluded, no one would have suspected the amount of worldwide recognition the series would have gotten.
Since the release of the manga, the franchise has grown to include an anime seires that has received worldwide acclaim and a live-action movie that is set to release soon. One of the things that have made the show and story so appealing to the fans is the cast of young characters who are faced with such a dangerous task of surviving and eventually overcoming those fears and fighting back.
With the first season completed, the stage has been set for the second season to come out, and marketing is in full swing! Following a delay due to COVID-19, a new teaser and announcement on the show's Twitter have confirmed a January release for the series in Japan! The new footage confirmed that the stakes had been raised, and things are looking pretty intense for the characters.
There is still some time to catch up on the new show for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but make sure to hurry because January will be here in no time! We would love to hear your thoughts on the new season and teaser in the comments below!
