If you're a fan of hero protagonists and their harems then chances are you tuned in every week to the Trinity Seven anime that was simulcast on Crunchyroll back in 2014. Unfortunately, the anime only consisted of 12 episodes and stopped far short of telling the ongoing manga from Kenji Saito (writer) and Akinari Nao (artist). Seven Arcs Pictures was the studio behind the anime, as well as the 27-minute OVA released in 2015.
The manga series has been serialized in Monthly Dragon Age since 2011 and has released 14 published volumes to date. Many fans of the 2014 anime series were stunned by the announcement since so much time (2 years is a long time in anime production) has passed since the first anime season ended. With a film adaptation in the works, could a second season also be on the way? The majority of anime fans that watched the first season are hoping at the very least, that the anime film picks up where the first season left off, as oppossed to recapping the events of the first season or opting for a completely original story. However, that's unlikely as the recent trend in anime is for film adpatation to tell original stories, as is the case with Accel World and Sword Art Online. Still, there are more than a few Trinity Seven followers that are keeping their hopes up.
