In the upcoming Sailor Moon Cosmos anime movie, the Sailor Guardians will engage in the most challenging conflict they have yet to face! But first, they are taking a day off to take a break and relax.
Namco is collaborating with the well-known Sailor Moon series to produce a collection of limited-edition merchandise as a way to commemorate the upcoming culmination of the most recent addition to the Sailor Moon franchise. Cushions, plush keychains, and acrylic stands, based on the campaign's new artwork, will be offered in Crane games and other entertainment at Namco facilities.
Check out some of the limited-edition goodies pictured below!
The collaboration will be available in arcades connected with Namco from June 9 (the day of the premiere of the first film) to July 17 (the day of the second film's premiere).
Tomoya Takahashi, who assisted with the direction of Gatchaman Crowds, will be in charge of directing both portions of the Sailor Moon Cosmos crossover event for Toei Animation and Studio Deen. The story is being written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, whose previous work includes That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, while character designs are being provided once more by Kazuko Tadano, whose previous work includes Sailor Moon seasons 1 and 2. Again, Yasuharu Takanashi (Sailor Moon Crystal) is producing the film's soundtrack, while Yumiko Kuga from Studio Jack (Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness) is serving as the film's art director. Both of these individuals have worked on previous Sailor Moon projects.
The "final battle" from the original manga series by Naoko Takeuchi will be translated for Sailor Moon Cosmos. The "final battle" was originally adapted as the last arc of the original Sailor Moon anime series, which was called Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. The first film in the Cosmos franchise will be released on June 9, and the second half will hit theaters on June 30.
The two-part film Sailor Moon Eternal, which was released in early 2021 in Japan and on Netflix across the world on June 3, carries on from where it left off with the Cosmos television series. Eternal continued the Sailor Moon Crystal TV anime series, which is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
Not familiar with the Sailor Moon Crystal TV anime? Crunchyroll describes it below:
Based on Naoko Takeuchi’s legendary manga series, Sailor Moon Crystal retells the story of Sailor Moon as she searches for her fellow Sailor Guardians and the Legendary Silver Crystal to stop the dark forces of Queen Beryl.
