Bandai Namco dropped a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 trailer built around the thing this series lives on. You make a fighter. You pick a race. You steal moves from people who already saved the planet. The clip is titled Fight Your Own Way. It is the first time the sequel has put all six avatar races on one screen.

The list of races is Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin, and Android. Android is the new one. Appearance sliders sit on top of that. Then you inherit techniques from Super Fighters and lock a fighting style built from the movement and kits of 130 heroes. Bandai’s line is that every one of those choices follows you through AGE 1000. Check out the new trailer below:

Dimps is still in the chair. Xenoverse 2 came out in 2016. This is the ten-year gap game. Platforms the game will be available on are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Steam in 2027.

The story of the game is setup in the AGE 1000. West City is the hub. You join the Great Saiya Squad and work the future with people who used to protect Earth. Akira Toriyama designed original characters for this era before he died in 2024. The new faces already named are Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap. Hiro Shimono, Mariya Ise, Yuina, and Hina Yomiya voice that set. Bulma shows up looking young. Gamma 1 wears a 1000 mark on the suit.

Combat customization is the rest of the press notes. Mentors have Bond meters. Bond points feed a Skill Tree tied to that teacher. Off that tree you unlock Soul Assist, Soul Switch, fighting styles, and Super or Ultimate Attacks. Soul Assist calls a partner into the fight for a buff or an extra hit. Soul Switch parks a mentor’s soul in your body so you wear their look and fire their big attacks for a stretch. Awakening is the race-specific power spike. Saiyans, Namekians, and the rest each have their own peak form. The same meter also feeds the Z-Warrior swap, so you pick which button eats the gauge.

That is a lot of systems stacked on a CaC. Xenoverse 1 and 2 already let you mix races and mentor lists until the lobby looked like a fusion convention. XV3 is selling the idea that race matters more in the actual combo, not just the hair. Androids are the test case. If they play like Earthlings with a different head, the trailer oversold the slot. If they get a kit that does not need a Super Saiyan timer, the new race earns the poster.

The games story is still light on the page, but we might get more reveals closer to launch. Co-op is confirmed to have up to three partners. Online is a pillar for the game once again because the last two games lived on that. Dimps has not shown the netcode yet.

The 130-hero number is the other headline in the trailer. That is mentors, style donors, and the pile of Super Fighters whose moves you can wear. It is also how Bandai keeps the roster argument going until the full list drops. Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, and Future Trunks have already been in combat footage. The rest will leak one festival at a time.

Xenoverse 3 is not a Time Patrol redo of the original series beats. Towa and Mira were the XV2 problem. AGE 1000 is a later calendar. The Dragon Ball main timeline sits around Age 700. This game jumps centuries and asks you to be the local hero in a city that already has a university and a Squad badge. Toriyama’s last designs for that future are the reason the original-character trailer landed as hard as the creator suite.

No price. No edition map. No Switch SKU in the current platform list announced at this time. The newest trailer is just a sample of what is to come. If you cared about XV2’s Character Creation more than the story missions, this is something that tickles your fancy.

Are you rolling an Android first, or is this another Saiyan save file until the full skill trees are public? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
