Gachiakuta finally has a real game title and a real fight. Com2uS streamed a gameplay reveal during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast and renamed the project GACHIAKUTA: BREAKOUT. The old working name, Gachiakuta: The Game, is gone. The window is 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Xbox Play Anywhere is on the sheet.
The trailer shows the crew fighting against Jabberr Wonger as the showcase fight, with Zanka Nijiku in the same sequence. Inven also spotted Rudo Surebrec, Enjin, and Riyo Reaper in the cut. The setup matches an early anime beat: Cleaners answer a distress call underground, walk into a Raiders ambush, and have to move in a tight pit while Jabber throws speed at them.
Com2uS calls it a survival action RPG in full 3D with cartoon-style rendering. Melee first. Fast. Trash Beasts and outlaws in the Pit. Combat drops XP and items that feed character growth and extra styles. Real-time co-op is confirmed. You can decorate and expand the Cleaners' headquarters with mission loot. Hidden graffiti is scattered through the Pit for collection. Hideyoshi Ando already does graffiti on the manga. The game is turning that into pickups.
The story for it goes like: Slum kid, false murder charge, thrown off the floating city into the Pit. He meets Enjin, joins the Cleaners, and tries to claw back the truth. Kodansha USA's pitch is the same: rich people throw garbage and poor people over the edge. The surface breeds monsters. Vengeance needs a new power and a crew that fights hulking trash beasts.
Kei Urana launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022. Volume 19 shipped July 16. English volumes have been coming from Kodansha USA since January 2024. The TV series ran July to December 2025 across CBC, TBS, and more than two dozen other Japanese channels, 24 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed it with an English dub and called it their most viewed anime in July 2025. Season 2 is already announced. A mobile game and a stage play were bundled with that season reveal. BREAKOUT is the console and PC one.
Com2uS first showed the project in December 2025 as a cel-shaded survival action RPG meant to carry the anime's atmosphere onto home hardware. Short combat clips later named Rudo, Riyo, Zanka, and Enjin as playable. Thursday was the first extended fight, not another mood trailer. Steam and Xbox wishlists are open now.
2027 is a year, not a quarter. No price. No edition list. No episode-by-episode campaign map. TGS week is for the title change and the Jabber footage. If you wanted hands-on at the show, this stream was the public version.
Urana's manga has already taken research pauses. The game is not waiting on a weekly chapter to ship. It is waiting on a 3D Pit that can hold co-op, a HQ you dress up, and a boss that reads like the anime's speed without turning into a mobile auto-battler on a TV. Com2uS is a phone-first company taking a Shonen Magazine property to PS5. That is the risk. The trailer is the argument that the combat can stand up.
If you watched Season 1 on Crunchyroll, Jabber is a character you will be familiar with. If you only read the books, Rudo and Enjin in 3D is the pitch for gamers.
