During Evo Japan 2024 this weekend, Arc System Works revealed the final Season 3 DLC fighter for Guity Gear -Strive-

The dandy vampire gentleman Slayer will wrap up the Season 3 lineup, bringing with him an arsenal of powerful moves that was teased in his reveal trailer.

"The laid-back and dignified vampire Slayer joins the fray! Equipped with an arsenal of moves that allow him to change up the tempo of his gameplay, he can easily propel himself forward, rushing down his opponents," Arc System Works teased alongside a new reveal trailer that showcases his powerful moveset. "Despite his calm demeanor, he possesses an overwhelming strength in battle. His code of ‘dandyism” is key to taking anything in stride."

A descendent of vampiric lineage, he finds human society trivial at times. However, he admires humans' tumultuous emotions, finding them both coveting and charming. He created the Assassin's Guild but has since retired, indulging in instead with genuine combat and haikus. After meeting his immortal wife, Sharon, who is immune to aging and bloodsucking, he enjoys an untroubled life in retirement, occasionally venturing out for some people-watching.

Slayer will arrive on May 30th and will be free for those who own the Season Pass 3 ($24.99) on PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. For those who have yet to purchase the season pass, you can buy Slayer individually for $6.99.

Arriving alongside Slayer next month is the new battle stage "Amber Fest with Kind Neighbors." The new map should look quite familiar to players as it was featured in Season Pass 1's "Another Story."

With Slayer rounding out the Season Pass 3 for Guilty Gear -Strive-, the latest season will officially be complete. The fighting fun will continue though as Arc System Works has already confirmed that Season Pass 4 is in the works. We don't know when it will be revealed, but expect some new characters to join the roster.

Released in 2021 for PlayStation and PC and 2023 for Xbox, Guilty Gear -Strive- is the latest release in the popular fighting game series. The story continues after the events of Guilty Gear Xrd and is the conclusion of Sol Badguy's story.

The game was released to generally favorable reviews with IGN saying it "raises the bar for anime-like fighter sin terms of its visuals, online netcode, and sheer creativity found in all aspects of its design."
