Qliphah in Providence's Shadow now has a gameplay trailer in the wild. Arc System Works posted the footage recently, giving players a look at the tactical counter-timeline battles ahead of the September 24 launch. The game hits PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Nintendo eShop pre-orders opened the same day.

Developer UnitePlus made it. The studio formed in November 2025 from the merger of Aquria and APLUS. Arc System Works is publishing the new IP. Director and game designer Satoshi Hirayae built the combat around a visible timeline. Check out the new gameplay trailer below:

The story opens in Tokyo after the Collapse. Reality is wearing thin. Grotesque Aberrations wander the ruined streets. Delivery worker Soma Hoshigami gets jumped on a shift and comes out Half-turned, part human and part monster. Investigator Rena Hizuki from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Public Safety Bureau, Foreign Affairs Fifth Division (the Public Safety Anomaly Response Division) takes him in as Lost Property. The pair chase the demonic drug Tiny True on the streets, the Stigmas carved into young bodies that eat flesh from the inside, and a cult moving in the dark. A researcher named Rio Amemiya and the Brahman marks sit in the background of the Japanese materials.

Players can run as both protagonists. Story scenes play out in visual-novel style with full voice acting. Itsuki Tousi voices Soma. Ikumi Hasegawa voices Rena. Combat is the other half. A timeline gauge across the screen shows incoming enemy attacks before they land, color-coded blue, red or yellow. Match your skill color and timing to counter. Stack skills inside a short window for heavy damage. Overlap them to intercept. Some enemy strings need both characters hitting the same color on the same beat. You can pause or drop the game into slow motion to read cooldowns and forecasts, then snap back to full speed. The official copy calls the flow high-octane and stylish. Previews compare the telegraphing to fighting-game frame data laid out in training mode.

Pre-order and early-purchase bonuses are live. Buyers get three extra skins for Rena and Soma plus access to Voidfall, a set of 16 high-difficulty extra battles with their own rewards. Those extras are scheduled to sell separately later. Digital price is $24.99 / ¥2,970. Japanese physical editions are ¥3,520. Europe is getting packaged versions through Meridiem, with a 500-copy Deluxe run at Red Art Games.

Arc System Works built its name on Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. This is a different lane of game: a new tactical RPG IP with cel-shaded shaders and an original soundtrack that includes an opening theme plus insert songs. The game was first shown at Arc Showcase in June. The newest trailer is the first extended look at the timeline system in motion rather than still character shots.

No episode-length story estimate. No full character roster beyond the two leads and a handful of names. No word on how long a playthrough runs. The September 24 date is two and a half weeks out. The new footage is there to show whether stacking skills on a visible clock feels as sharp as the description.
