The official YouTube account for the IDOLM@STER series has begun broadcasting a new teaser for the upcoming advance theatrical run of the The IDOLM@STER Million Live! TV anime. In addition to providing information on the screening schedule, the film also serves as the initial presentation of "Rat A Tat!!!," which is used as the opening theme music for the anime.

It was revealed in July 2020 that a TV anime project consisting of twelve episodes will be based on the The Idolm@ster Million Live! game series. The show is scheduled to make its debut this October. In Japan, there will be early cinema screenings of all three chapters before they are shown for the first time on television. The first chapter will be shown in theaters on August 18, the second chapter on September 8, and the third chapter on September 29.
Shinya Watada (Aikatsu Stars! The Movie, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE) will be directing the anime, while series composition/script writer Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu!, Yo-kai Watch) is also working on the project. Shirogumi (revisions, STAND BY ME Doraemon) is working on the production of the anime.
