Godzilla Resurgence hits Japanese theaters on July 29. The redesigned kaiju king stands 389 feet tall, head and shoulders above Gareth Edwards 354 foot big screen behemoth unleashed in the American 2014 Godzilla film.
Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) wrote and co-directed the film with Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan), which reboots the Godzilla franchise for a modern take on Big G's first attack on Japan. The film stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, Satomi Ishihara, Rando Yaguchi and Ren Osugi.
