The
official website for Strike the Blood official confirmed that a second OVA is on the way. An anime adaptation of Gakuto Mikumo's popular light novel series has a two-cour first season which totaled 24 episodes in 2013. The first season covered the first 6 volumes of the manga. An OVA was released in 2015, which didn't cover any manga volumes but featured an original story written by Mikumo.
With the manga's 15th volume releasing this past Tuesday, fans are becoming anxious over the lack of a second season. There's certainly enough material from the manga now. Still, a second OVA is better than nothing at all. More details on the project from SILVER LINK. and CONNECT will be released in an upcoming issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine.

A dangerous vampire thought to exist only in legend, the Fourth Progenitor commands so much power that its very existence is considered an act of war. But now people have discovered that not only is the Fourth Progenitor very real, he is also currently living in Itogami City, an island where humans and demons live together freely. Until three months ago, Kojou Akatsuki was a normal, human high school student.
After becoming the Fourth Progenitor, though, he finds himself with abilities far beyond those of regular vampires. One day, he meets Yukina Himeragi, an apprentice sword-shaman who is sent to observe him and kill him if he becomes too much of a threat. However, her presence raises many questions.
