Fantasy worlds have always been filled with knights, and processes and kingdoms, and pretty much anything else that one can think of that involve the topic. However, if it's one thing that anime and manga does is tell their readers that they haven't thought of everything. Kagiji Kumanomata's Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle reminds readers that insomnia could also be apart of the fantasy world.
The hilarious series followed a young princess kidnapped by a demon king and held for ransom, which for the princess isn't that much of an issue because she can at least get some much-needed sleep. However, the problem is that she suffers from an inability to stay asleep for very long and the only thing that comes from that is an increased difficulty in enjoying her extended vacation. Released in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine's pages in 2016, the series has been a huge hit for readers and continues to publish new chapters!
With the manga's success, an anime was later greenlit and premiered this past October, where it has continued to release new and funny episodes. While the show has only recently premiered and only runs for 12 episodes, there are still casting announcements that can be made. One such reveal includes the voice of Ari Ozawa, who will be giving her voice to Sakkyun (Bussy) and promised to cherish the pureness of the character.
The new announcement is exciting and fantastic, and it will be fun to see how she interacts with our sleepy princess. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new reveal in the comments below!
