AKIRA 4K Limited Edition Available For Pre-Order + New Trailer Has Hit!

Not only is the Akira Limited Edition landing in 4K later this month, it also includes a 40-page booklet and 90 minutes of special features! Check out the new trailer!

Funimation has announced that Akira is now available for pre-order and that it's landing later this month! They've also released a new video celebrating the 4K Limited Edition that's landing on December 22nd, which has been included below.

Bonus features will include a 40-page booklet, 90 minutes of special featuers with such things as the music from Akira, trailers and commercials and even a glossary! There is an English dubb as well as English 5.1 Audio Mix for those not interested in reading subtitles. AKIRA, the crown jewel of anime and science fiction, returns with remastered 4K visuals and remixed audio. In the future, Shotaro Kaneda and his motorcycle gang tear through Neo Tokyo, a city divided by growing tensions. But when caught in an accident, Kaneda’s friend Tetsuo Shima discovers a secret government project and receives psychic abilities beyond his control.
