Last month we learned that Hunter x Hunter was getting a spin-off series (The Vampire Dies in No Time) and now we have a new piece of artwork to celebrate the popular anime series' 10th anniversary!
The new poster was created by animer series character designer and chief animation director Takahiro Yoshimatsu. The illustration includes Gon and Killua drawing the numbers ten with nen. The pair are joined by Kurapika, Leorio, and Hisoka. It's sure to delight fans of the anime!
The anime series is based upon the Hunter x Hunter manga series that was written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The manga originally premiered in Weekly Shōnen Jump back in March of 1998. The 62-episode anime series produced by Nipon Animation originally ran from October 1999 to March 2001 and was directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi. A second anime series consisting of 148 episodes, and produced by Madhouse (Overlord, One-Punch Man), aired in Japan from October 2011 to September 2014.
The Hunter x Hunter anime series is currently available to stream via Funimation's app and service. Episodes are available in both English subtitled and English dubbed.
