The My Clueless First Friend (Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru.) television anime's official website aired its first full promotional video on Thursday, revealing the show's additional cast, staff, and April launch.
In April, the anime will make its debut on Japanese television for the first time on channels such as TOKYO MX, TV Aichi, BS Fuji, and Animax. The anime will be available on Crunchyroll at the same time that it is shown in Japan.
The anime's main cast includes:
- Konomi Kahara as Akane Nishimura
- Shizuka Ishigami as Taiyō Takada
- Kengo Kawanishi as Daichi Hino
- Reina Kondo as Umi Adachi
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Yukiko Takada
The anime at St.Signpost is being directed by Shigenori Kageyama (DYNAMIC CHORD, Himawari!, Himawari Too!! ), while the character designs are being done by Chikashi Kadekaru (Mieruko-chan, Juni Taisen: Zodiac War). Toshio Masuda (Kamisama Kiss, Naruto) is the one responsible for composing the series' music, and Takafumi Hoshikawa (Shaman King Storyboard, Unit Director) and Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Ayakashi Triangle) are the ones responsible for writing the series' screenplays.
In May 2018, Kawamura debuted the manga in Gangan Joker, a publication from Square Enix. The first volume of the manga's compilation book was released by Square Enix in October 2018, and the thirteenth volume will be released on November 22.
In July of 2022, Square Enix Manga & Books announced that they had been successful in their acquisition of a license for the English-language North American edition of the manga. Since July 2022, the series has also been made available online in English via the Manga UP! service, which is operated by Square Enix. The first volume is scheduled to be released publicly in English by Square Enix Manga & Books on March 7, and the second volume is scheduled to be made accessible on June 6.
