Console hunters, mark Tuesday! Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 3rd.

Netmarble announced the console date last Wednesday, October 28th, and the game unlocks worldwide at the same moment: 7 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. MT / 4 p.m. PT on Tuesday. The PlayStation Store listing shows the same moment (12 a.m. UTC on Wednesday, November 4th), so if you're in the Americas, you're playing Tuesday night.

As for pricing, Netmarble is offering two editions, per RPG Site's breakdown of the announcement:

  • Standard Edition: $39.99
  • Deluxe Edition: $44.99, adding an exclusive Sung Jinwoo costume, a Cha Hae-In emoji set and a selection of extra in-game items

That's the exact same price the PC version launched at, so console players aren't paying a premium for the wait!

Netmarble hasn't announced a console pre-order bonus or preload window, and the PlayStation Store page still shows no price as of Saturday. Keep in mind that online co-op on console sits behind the usual paywalls, with the PlayStation Store listing PS Plus for online play and the Xbox store listing a Game Pass subscription for online console multiplayer.

Arise Overdrive has been on PC since last November, on Steam and Xbox PC, with Steam listing a November 24th, 2025 release. Console players were told 2026 from the start, and in April Netmarble narrowed that to Q3 2026. That window came and went, which is why a firm date this close to launch is such welcome news!

Don't confuse this with Solo Leveling: Arise, the free-to-play gacha game that Netmarble put out on mobile and PC back in May 2024. Arise Overdrive is a full-price action RPG built by Netmarble Neo, and there's no gacha. In a developer note from August 2025, development producer Kim Gwang Hoon said the game doesn't rely on randomness when you recruit Hunters or craft weapons, and that the Hunters, Sung Jinwoo and his weapons "can be earned and enjoyed entirely through in-game play." He also called it "an entirely different game, developed as an independent project by a separate team."

The PC version still sells a $9.99 Deluxe upgrade and a $4.99 Jeju Island Raid Special Pack alongside the base game on Steam.

As for the game itself, it retells Jinwoo's rise from the webtoon and adds new chapters made just for the game. Combat leans on weapon combos, an Extreme Evasion dodge and a parry that sets up counterattacks, with a skill tree covering 8 job advancements and a Monarch Awakening system that unlocks Jinwoo's Shadow Monarch powers. You can run it solo as Jinwoo, or team up with up to 3 friends in co-op raids against the Commanders. Weapons get crafted from monster drops, including webtoon favorites like Kasaka's Venom Fang and the Demon King's Daggers.

The PC version sits at a Mostly Positive user rating on Steam as of Saturday (75% of about 3,300 reviews).

The timing lines up nicely for the franchise. The anime's first season premiered in January 2024, Season 2 followed in January 2025, and both stream on Crunchyroll. Next up on the big screen is Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, the anime film that picks up right after Season 2. And Netmarble isn't done with games either, with Solo Leveling: Karma still in the works for PC and mobile.

Are you grabbing Arise Overdrive on PS5 or Xbox Tuesday night, or did you already clear it on PC? Is the Deluxe Edition worth the extra $5 to you just for that Jinwoo costume?
