Akudama Drive is a Japanese cyberpunk anime series produced by Pierrot and Too Kyo Games and licensed by Funimation. The new anime is set in a dystopian future and follows criminals known as Akudama who are hunted by the government. It originally aired in December of last year (2020). Those that watch the anime will surely note influcences from films by Quentin Tarantino as well as the sci-fi classic Blade Runner. There is also a manga adaptation is currently in the works.
Akudama Drive was written by Norimitsu Kaihō and Tomohisa Taguchiand. The anime series is directed by Tomohisa Taguchi.
