Some exciting new updates were made for the new anime series My Unique Skills Make Me OP Even at Level 1! New announcements were made about additional cast and staff members, new anime characters and illustrations, a July premiere date, and an official promotional teaser video!

The newly announced cast includes:
Kaito Ishikawa as Ryota Sato
The anime's official website describes Ryota as "A salaryman who works for a black company who was suddenly transported to a mysterious world where everything is dropped from monsters. His stats such as physical strength and magical power are all the weakest. Besides, his level is the lowest fixed. However, he has a unique skill [Drop Skill All S], and although it is level 1, it is the strongest...! I will increase the numer of friends with a personality and sincerity that can be considerate of others."

The anime's official website describes Emily as "An adventurer girl who uses a big hammer that doesn't match her petite physique. After defeating the slime in the dungeon, she meets Ryota who was dropped. She has an obedient and kind personality, but her income is low due to her low drop skills, and she lives alone in a dungeon. She has high living skills such as cooking and cleaning."
The series is being directed by Takeyuki Yanase (By the Grace of the Gods) at MAHO FILM. The composition of the series is under the direction of Yuka Yamada (Tokyo Mew Mew New). The major character creators are Miyako Nishida (In Another World With My Smartphone), Eri Kojima (In the Land of Leadale), and Kaho Deguchi (If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord).

In February 2017, Miki made the series debut on the Let's Be Novelists website. The light book series was introduced by Miki and Subachi in September 2017. In November 2019, the seventh book volume arrived in Japan. In May 2018, Kodansha's "Suiybi no Sirius" website debuted the manga adaptation of Mawata. On October 7, Kodansha released the manga's tenth collected book volume.
Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga as well as the light novel series, and it describes the story:
Ryota Sato gets the surprise of his life when he's suddenly transported into another world and nearly clobbered at the hands of the young, pretty adventurer Emily Brown. This new world revolves around defeating monsters and profiting on whatever they drop—food, money, items, etc. Unfortunately for Ryota, he has no skills to speak of...until he learns he has the ability to get rare drops! Suddenly his luck turns around...or does it?
