The new and original Japanese anime television series Skate-Leading Stars, which was created by Gorō Taniguchi, is set to begin Its Japanese broadcasts next week (January 10th to be exact). To celebrate, Funimation has released the first official English dubbed trailer for the series! I've included it below, so make sure and check it out and let me know what you think in the comments section!

The series is produced by J.C.Staffand and directed by Toshinori Fukushima. Skate-Leading Stars follows a group of high schoolers who participate in a form of competitive figure skating known as “skate-leading”.

Years after abandoning his dream, Kensei Maeshima is about to jump back into the world of competitive figure skating, this time as part of a team.

Skate-Leading Stars original character designs were handled by Toboso Yana and Yoko Ito. Music for the series is by Ryō Takahashi.  "Chase the core", the opening theme song, is performed by Takao Sakuma (佐久間貴生, Sakuma Takao). The theme song at the end of each episode is entitled "JUMP" and is performed by Shūgo Nakamura.

If you subscribe to the Funimation streaming app, you are in luck as Funimation subscribers get access to Skate-Leading Allstars two weeks before the Japanese broadcats! There are already two episodes available and the series has yet to be officially broadcast.
