New to the Demon Slayer scene? Here's a little recap on the storyline if you're interested. It is a hard series not to enjoy for all ages!
The story takes place in Taishō-era Japan. It follows protagonist Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko Kamado as they seek for a cure for Nezuko's demon curse. Tanjiro and Nezuko become entangled in the affairs of a secret society, known as the Demon Slayer Corps, which has been waging a secret war against demons for centuries.
Tanjiro trains under the demon hunter, Rengoku, to learn how to fight and use the "Breath of the Sun" technique. He also gains experience by fighting demons and learning about their weaknesses. As he becomes stronger, he is able to take on more powerful demons and improve his skills.
Tanjiro's sister, Nezuko Kamado, is turned into a demon by a powerful demon who killed the rest of their family. Despite being a demon, Nezuko is able to retain her human consciousness and emotions and is protected by her brother Tanjiro. Throughout the series, she is confined in a box and is not allowed to be around other humans as the demon hunter society sees her as a threat. Later on, due to the training and the help of other demon hunters, Tanjiro is able to control her demon powers and is able to make her a demon hunter as well. Together, they work to defeat demons and seek a cure for Nezuko's demonification.
It's hard not to watch the series and become a fan, so if you haven't started it I would suggest adding it to your list!
