Even after a decade, the anime series Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day is still very popular and manages to evoke a range of feelings in viewers while bringing tears to their eyes. In honor of the television show's 10th anniversary, the YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE invited the band Galileo Galilei, who provided the opening theme song, into the studio to perform "Aoi Shiori" alongside Menma's voice actor, Ai Kayano, and took us all the way back to 2011.

THE FIRST TAKE is an initiative created by Sony Music Entertainment Japan in which singers are asked to perform their hit songs in just one take inside of a studio that has a minimalistic design. The performer is asked to sing in "ONE TAKE ONLY, ONE LIFE ONLY," which is written in the video description.
The original Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day TV anime series was broadcast in Japan from April 14, 2011, to June 23, 2011. Crunchyroll is streaming the series, describing it as such:
Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.
