Funimation has officially announced that the English dub of Vivy-Flourite Eye's Song will begin streaming tomorrow, May 29th! The new series from Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga) follows an advanced idol A.I. named Diva (a.k.a. Vivy) as she's brought into a century-long mission to stop an impending war between humanity and A.I. The English subtitled version of the show initially began streaming last month with Funimation keeping mum regarding the English dubbed dates.
It has also been revealed that the English dub of the series is led by voice actor Cristina Vee (Sailor Moon, Puella Magi Modoka Magica) who will be the voice behind Vivy. Max Mittleman (Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man) will voice Matsumoto.
Other notable cast and crew include Wendee Lee who is handling English Voice Direction and Kayli Mills who is in charge of the English Adaptation.
Funimation has promised that they will be rolling out additional cast announcements in the upcoming coming weeks.
An AI named Matsumoto appears before Vivy, the world’s first autonomous humanoid AI. Matsumoto’s mission is to rewrite history together with Vivy, in order to stop the war between AI and humans that will happen one century later.
