Along with the release of a new voice drama for the series, a new graphic for the upcoming AYAKA original TV anime was also made available today! The image has a grungy/edgy design created by redjuice (Guilty Crown), and was published alongside the new drama. The visual and audio drama takes place in a workplace with neon-red lighting, and it involves Aka, Ibara, and Taihei.

At Studio Blanc, Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Happy Sugar Life), who will direct AYAKA based on the original texts written by GoRA and the original character designs created by redjuice (Guilty Crown), is in charge of directing the project. Misaki Kaneko (Smile Down the Runway) is responsible for the animation character designs, Ryo Tanaka (Tribe Nine) is responsible for the sound direction, and Kana Shibue (Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju) is responsible for the music. The role of production designer is taken on by Naoya Tanaka.
The story follows Yukito Yanagi, an orphan who one day encounters an eccentric disciple of his father's. The strange man takes him to his birthplace on Ayakajima, made up of seven islands where mysterious beings called "Mitama" and dragons are rumored to reside. There, Yukito meets his father's two other disciples, who protect the harmony of Ayakajima… which soon threatens to collapse
