It's been a little over a year since it was first announced and we finally have news regarding the 5th season of the Date A Live anime series! Yesterday the series unveiled its first batch of character images, showcasing the main cast members that we've been watching since the anime's 2013 launch. Along with the new visuals, the series confirmed that it is still being directed by Jun Nakagawa.

Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
