Next week, an exciting new chapter in the Dragon Ball Super anime kicks off with the return of Future Trunks. After traveling back in time to warn the Z-Fighters of Dr. Gero's androids, Trunks acquired enough power to travel home and defeat Cell and the Androids who had terrorized his timeline. Peace should have reigned throughout the remainder of that alternate future. However, that's apparently not the case as Toei confirmed a few weeks back that Future Trunks would be returning, with dire warnings of an evil, "Black Goku". Whether this is an evil Goku, possessed Goku or something else entirely remains to be seen.

The 47th episode is titled, "SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Reveals Himself!"  The official Toei website teases, "Why has Future Trunks returned to the present again after defeating Cell and attaining peace?" and "Who will be the future's new enemy?"

In other recent news, the European website for Toei Animation revealed that Dragon Ball Super will consist of 100 episodes.
