Funimation announced earlier that How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom will be joining their 2021 Summer season anime lineup and they've now released an official trailer!
From studio J.C.STAFF (KonosSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderfol World!, Toradora!), How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom follows Kazuya Souma, as humanities student, as he's transported to a fantasy world where instead of becoming a warrior hero of legend for the Elfrieden Kingdom, he finds himself wanting to systematically, administratively and economically rebuilding the kingdom... from the ground up.
The voice cast for the anime series includes Yusuke Kobayashi (Dr. Stone) as Kazuya, who finds himself suddenly engaged to a princess and in power of the kingdom upon his arrival, and Inori Minase (The Quintessential Quintuplets) as his fiancee, Liscia Elfrieden, who is a bit of a tomboy.
The How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom anime is based upon the light novel series of the same name written by Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki. There is also a manga adaptation by Satoshi Ueda that began serialization online via Overlap's Comic Gardo manga web site in 2017.
Funimation will begin streaming the How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom anime in July.
