A few days ago, Netflix dropped a release date trailer for Pacific Rim: Th Black, confirming the upcoming Netflix Original anime's March 4 release date. Now, Netflix is back with a new 2-minute and 20-seconds trailer with much more narrative content and action.
It looks like the world of Pacific Rim: The Black is a lot more dangerous than what fans have previously seen in the two live-action films.
It looks as if there might be a new type of kaiju unleashed in the anime as the last few frames in the trailer hint at the existence of some type of new jaeger/kaiju hybrid. However, the question that remains is whether this new monster saved the Travis siblings from the mini-dog kaiju or if it was merely taking out the competition.
As we move closer to the anime's March 4 release date, we'll keep an eye out for additional details on the show's voice cast, episode count and more so keep it locked to AnimeMojo.
There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.
