The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is taking a one-month break. The official Naruto and Boruto franchise account announced that the series will not appear in the October issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine, which ships on August 21. It is scheduled to return in the November issue, due out on September 18.
The break is relatively short by the series’ recent standards. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been running monthly in V Jump since the current arc began. Skipping a single issue pushes the next chapter back by roughly four weeks without signaling a longer hiatus.
The manga’s publication history has included several schedule shifts. Originally launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016 under writer Ukyō Kodachi and artist Mikio Ikemoto, the series later moved to the monthly V Jump magazine in 2019. Masashi Kishimoto, creator of the original Naruto, took over as writer beginning with chapter 52 in November 2020. The manga then entered a hiatus in April 2023 before returning in August of that year with the Two Blue Vortex arc, which continues the story after a time skip.
Shueisha released the eighth compiled volume of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex on June 4. Digital chapters continue to appear on MANGA Plus and through Viz Media, which also handles the English print editions.
The related Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime concluded its first part in March 2023 after 293 episodes. A second part has been confirmed but has not yet begun airing. The anime previously streamed on Crunchyroll and Hulu and aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in the United States.
Monthly series occasionally skip issues for production reasons, health considerations, or to allow the creative team additional time. No specific explanation was given for this particular break beyond the announcement of the revised schedule. The one-month gap is shorter than the multi-month hiatus the series took in 2023, suggesting a more limited pause rather than a major interruption.
Readers following the Two Blue Vortex arc will have to wait until mid-September for the next chapter. The November issue of V Jump remains the confirmed return point, keeping the overall monthly rhythm largely intact after the single skipped release.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues to advance the story of the next generation in the Naruto universe under Kishimoto’s supervision and Ikemoto’s artwork. The brief break represents a temporary adjustment rather than a change in the series’ ongoing status. The next chapter is expected when the November issue of V Jump ships on September 18.
