And you thought there is never a girl online? is one of the favorites of the current Spring anime season so the timing of the release of an English-dub preview by FUNimation makes perfect sense.

Leave it to Japan to take being "catfished" to a whole new level.  Netoge no Yome wa Onna no ko ja Nai to Omotta? or as it's known in the US, And you thought there is never a girl online? debuted its first preview of the English dub, which is set to begin streaming on the FUNimatino channel this Wednesday. The series already began airing in Japan on April 7.  Project No.9 (Momokyun Sword, Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS) heads up anime production.



After Hideki Nishimura confesses to a girl online, he is shocked when she turns out to be a boy. Traumatized, he swears to never trust any "girl" players. That is, until one confesses to him! Ako Tamaki is a beautiful loner who has trouble differentiating between what's reality and the online world she spends so much of her time in. Can Hideki and his guild friends help fix socially inept Ako?


The  anime is based on the light novel series from Shibai Kineko.

The English dub voice cast features:

Dallas Reid as Hideki Nishimura/Rusian
Jad Saxton as Akane Segawa/Schwein
Mallorie Rodak as Kyō Goshōin/Apricot
Trina Nishimura as Ako Tamaki/Ako
